Treasurer's Report
It was reported that the ITG has a total of $1998.00 in
the kitty for the up coming tournament payout. This is the total after we
payout everyone that we currently owe. Quite a few existing members still
haven't paid dues. Please consider doing so as soon as you can or when you
win!
Status on October General Membership meeting –
Pete Cliburn
We have a few quotes on the general membership meeting
and one being Ft. Sam Houston Golf Course. We are still working on the
final draft and we are shooting for late October time frame.
Quick status on committees
A new committee was formed and announce. The Tournament
Committee and it will be headed by Jesse Flores we would like 1 member to
join Jesse in accomplishing the tasks needed for carrying out a successful
tournament.
Clarification of new members’ eligibility for net
competitions
New Members will not be eligible for Skins and or Net
until they complete 5 rounds on a Saturday morning with ITG and must be
approved by the membership committee to become a full fledged member.
Non-playing guests; minors as guests
At this point we are still allowing minors to play and
ride along with members. This is subject to change in the future. We will
discuss this item in more detail at our next official officer meeting.
Brackenridge?
Brackenridge is out. They want $81.00 for Saturday
morning play and that is way to rich for most of us. They don't even want
to offer us volume price breaks.
New web format for handicap stats – good or bad?
The new format page on the web for handicaps will go back
to the way it was as the new format does not show what rounds are used for
handicapping purposes.
Subjects from around the table
A few members seem to be concerned about minors playing.
We understand and it is not mandatory to play in a group with a minor.
Please keep in mind at this point we are "Fostering" the game of golf for
all ages. All members should however be able to score at least double bogey
for a full round of golf.
